Send to OneNote lets you capture information from any app and send it to a page in OneNote for Windows 10. Once the information is in OneNote, you can access it from any device, even if you're offline.

Sending any type of file to OneNote is as easy as if you were sending it to an actual printer:

  • Documents

  • Spreadsheets

  • Emails

  • Drawings

  • Diagrams

  • Webpages

Print to OneNote for Windows 10 as any other printer:

  1. Open the document or file that you want to send to OneNote (for example, Microsoft Word for document files, or a browser for web pages).

  2. Select the Print option in the application.

  3. From the list of printers, choose OneNote for Windows 10.

  4. Choose Print, and OneNote will open behind your application.

  5. In the window that appears, select where you want to send the file.

The content is added as an image on a new OneNote page.

Next steps:

Now that you have your content in OneNote, use the drawing tools to highlight important information, or add notes to your image.
